Kenan Doğulu presenta "Shake it up şekerim".

La TRT ha elegido internamente a su representante para Eurovisión 2007. Kenan Doğulu ha sido el intérprete seleccionado. Se trata de uno de los cantantes y compositores más influyentes en la industria musical turca.

Biografía

Kenan Doğulu nació el 31 de mayo de 1972 en Estambul. Empezó a tocar el piano a la edad de 5 años en la School of Music. Más tarde comenzó a tocar otros instrumentos, entre ellos la guitarra. Se graduó en el Kültür Koleji y obtuvo Certificado de Comunicaciones en el Colegio Hesser de Estados Unidos. Concluida la carrera regresa a Turquía consiguiendo una plaza en el departamento de música de la Universidad de "Bilgi".

En 1993 edita su primer álbum titulado "Yaparim Bilirsin". A partir de entonces los conciertos en directo se suceden al igual que sus trabajos. En 1994 saca al mercado "Simsiki Siki Siki". En 1996 su álbum titulado "Kenan Doğulu 3" tuvo un marcado éxito en Turquía. "Decennial March" (1997) y "Youth March"(1999) completan sus trabajos.

Tras publicar en 1999 su disco "Ben Senin Herseyinim" decide retirarse de la música durante dos años. Resurge en 2001 con fuerza y sus trabajos comienzan a venderse muy bien destacando "Ex Askim"(2001), "Kenan Doğulu 5.5" (2002), "Demedi Deme" (2003). "Kenan Doğulu 6.5" (2004) y "Festival" (2006).

Ha colaborado con Sezen Aksu, considerada como la mejor artista pop de Turquía. Kenan tiene su propia discográfica "Doğulu Sound and Light LTD" y con su participación en el eurofestival quiere conseguir una proyección internacional.

La canción

El pasado día 9 de marzo un cómite de la TRT de Estambul optó por el tema "Shake it up sekerim" entre tres opciones de mucha calidad que el intérprete presentó para el festival. Es un tema, en mi opinión, sin grandes pretensiones de estilo pop con algún leve toque oriental y cantado en inglés. La primera audición se hace un poco dura y sólo retumba en los oídos el título que se repite una y otra vez a lo largo del tema.

Posibilidades en Helsinki

Turquía debe de superar el corte de la semifinal. Teniendo en cuenta que hay 28 países para tan sólo 10 plazas mucho me temo que Turquía este año se quedará en la estacada ya que este tema no tiene pinta de impresionar a muchos jurados en Eurovisión.
