Análisis de temas Eurovisión 2012 - Semifinal 2 (1)

Aquí estamos de vuelta nuevamente para comentar esta segunda semifinal de Eurovisión 2012 que parece, a priori, mucho más competida que la primera y donde ha caído el grueso de países balcánicos lo que puede perjudicar a varios países. Veamos los seis primeros países:

1. SERBIA - Zeljko Joksimovic - Synonym

¡Quién iba a imaginar cuando nos visitó en el último Congreso de OGAE Spain que él sería el próximo representante de Serbia en 2012! El gran Zeljko Joksimovic regresa a Eurovisión, ese festival que tan buenos sabores de boca le han dejado tanto siendo intérprete como siendo compositor, en los años 2004, 2006 y 2008. 

El título original es "Nije Ljubav Stvar" que se traduce como "No es una cuestión de amor" y es una versión preciosa. Sin embargo, parece ser que en Bakú escucharemos la versión inglesa bajo el título "Synonym". El especialista en baladas con elementos de música popular de los Balcanes nos ofrece esta vez un tema con sonido envolvente y emotivo, no tan intenso como Lane Moje, aunque con un final sublime. Es una pena que no pueda tranmitir todo lo que lleva este tema ya que la versión en inglés hace que pierda personalidad la canción. 

Se ha acusado a la música de esta canción de plagio con el tema "Paradise" de Coldplay. La he escuchado y sí que tiene cierto parecido con el principio de esta canción y la parte en que la chica toca el violín en el tema de Zeljko. ¿Qué opináis? Quizás sea la diferencia que le impida ganar este año. Personalmente, me decía más el "Lane Moje".

 2. REPÚBLICA DE MACEDONIA - Kaliopi - Black and White

Estamos aquí ante una estrella balcánica muy conocida en todos los países de la antigua órbita yugoslava. Además Kaliopi es Embajadora de buena voluntad de la ONU y representa a Macedonia en ACNUR gracias a su trabajo humanitario. Fue elegida en 1996 para el debut macedonio en Eurovisión pero no logró superar la criba previa en un pre-festival clasificatorio.

"Black and White" es la versión inglesa y la que se escuchará en Bakú del tema titulado "Crno i belo" en su versión original y más auténtica. Se trata de una mezcla entre balada balcánica y rock, muy efectiva pero al igual que ocurre con Serbia la hace perder encanto el inglés. Ya hay voces que hablan de la Luz Casal macedonia por la similitud de tonos entre las dos. El país tiene la ventaja de estar en la semifinal balcánica lo que le dará muchos puntos para estar en la gran final.

3. PAÍSES BAJOS - Joan Franka - You and me

Con su penacho, estilismo sioux y guitarra Joan Franka, cantoautora holandesa, se presenta a Eurovisión 2012 de la mano de John de Mol, quien ha prometido un gran espectáculo sobre el escenario de Bakú.

"You and me" será eso, espectáculo. Y es que poco más puede ofrecer al margen de la voz de su intérprete que habla sobre el amor de juventud. Es una canción sencilla, sin pretensiones y que no aporta absolutamente nada salvo su repetitivo estribillo. Totalmente prescindible. Canción pastelosa y de poco gusto que roza peligrosamente lo friki.

4. MALTA - Kurt Calleja - This is the night

Quizás sea por lo reducido del país o porque no se apuesta por promesas foráneas pero lo cierto es que parece ser que el actual modelo de preselección maltesa está agotado. Siempre vemos a los mismos intérpretes y parece ser que no han salido de los ochenta. Esta vez el turno es para Kurt Calleja, un habitual en las preselecciones maltesas. 

"This is the night" es la propuesta maltesa para Bakú con un ritmo ideal para bailar y donde lo más destacable es la especial voz de Kurt. Por lo demás, la canción es previsible y algo trasnochada lo que va a hacer casi imposible la clasificación, un año más, del país para la gran final. ¡Otro año será!.

5. BIELORRUSIA - Litesound - We are the heroes

Como no podía ser de otra manera el escándalo va asociado a las preselecciones ucranianas y bielorrusas. Este año tuvo que intervenir el presidente del país para pedir orden y es que en la final nacional "ganó" Alyona Lanskaya que posteriormente fue descalificada cuando se supo que no había sido la más votada por el televoto y que la habían dado la victoria por ser esposa del organizador de la preselección. Corrupción a tope. En su lugar, acuden los segundos en la preselección, el grupo Litesound que sí fue el más votado por el televoto.

"We are the heroes" es la descafeinada propuesta para este año ya que lo que fue en un principio una canción rock ha sido pasada por la batidora para convertirla en un producto más eurovisivo lo que ha convertido el tema, para infelicidad de sus componentes, en uno más que no destaca por casi nada.

6. PORTUGAL - Filipa Sousa - Vida minha

El pasado mes de noviembre la UNESCO incluyó al fado como Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad, lo que ha llevado a la RTP a plantear su preselección como un homenaje al Fado y entre todas las propuestas a tenido el honor de ser su representante Filipa Sousa. 

"Vida minha" es una canción con encanto portugués que lleva el indiscutible sello de calidad de Andrej Babic y letra de Carlos Coelho y que estaba a años luz del resto de propuestas presentadas. Nuestros vecinos lo intentan una y otra vez y casi todos los años se ven relegados a la semifinal por eso que ha otros les falta: apoyos vecinales. Vida minha es una canción para soñar y que nos gusta a muchos pero me temo que en esta semifinal de la muerte nuestros amigos portugueses se quedarán, una vez más en la estacada. Y eso que en Bakú recurrirán a cinco coristas para transimitir emociones al público televidente. Una pena que España no vote en esta semifinal.

Cerramos el análisis de esta primera semifinal con los seis últimos concursantes y con la sensación de que esta semifinal es algo floja. Mucho me temo que en la otra semifinal hay muchos más temas de calidad que en esta.

13. DINAMARCA - Soluna Samay - Should've known better

Soluna Samay es un joven promesa danesa que trae en los genes esto de la música. Sus padres son un músico callejero alemán y una artista polivalente suiza que recorrieron Europa en una caravana actuando allá por donde pasaban. Soluna nació en Ciudad de Guatemala y sabe expresarse en cinco idiomas además de transmitir mucho encanto cuando canta.

"Should've known better" es el título de su propuesta pop-melódica que ganó por sorpresa la final danesa imponiéndose a los dos favoritos. Es un tema que tiene parte de magia y parte de evocación si bien los detractores de la canción la tachan de poco original por el más que razonable parecido con el estribillo de la canción "Crazy" de Alanis Morrissette. Si no fuera por eso, sería una firme candidata al triunfo.

14. RUSIA - Buravnoskiye Babushki - Party for everybody

Las abuelitas de Buranovo marcarán un antes y un después en la edad de los participantes eurovisivos ya que, entre todas, pasan los 500 años siendo la mayor de 76 años de edad. Saltaron a la fama en 2008 gracias a un reportaje de la televisión rusa y desean invertir lo que ganen en Eurovisión en la financiación para la reconstrucción de la iglesia de Buranovo, destruida en 1939. Actualmente, deben recorrer 40 kilómetros para ir a la iglesia más cercana. 

"Party for everybody" es una invitación a la fiesta en forma de canción ethno-pop. Los evidentes desafines son lo de menos en una propuesta original y con cierta gracia. La canción está interpretada en inglés (de oído) y en la lengua udmurta. Logró imponerse en la mismísima final al adorado Dima Bilan.

15. HUNGRÍA - Compact Disco - Sound of our hearts

Compact Disco es un grupo húngaro de rock electrónico compuesto por Behnam Lofti, Gábor Pál, Attila Sándo y Csaba Walkó.

"Sond of our hearts" es una melodía rock suave y pegadiza, elegante y moderna pero que te deja a medias. A priori es una buena canción pero suena familiar y aunque el intérprete no lo hizo mal hace unos días en Amsterdam, sí es cierto es que en la gala de presentación del tema desafinó bastante. ¿Qué nos encontraremos en Bakú? ¡Sorpresa!

16. AUSTRIA - Trackshittaz - Woki mit deim popo

Pues sí, la representación del año pasado fue una ilusión efímera y Austria ha vuelto a las andadas. Nadie entiende que un país que se jacta tanto de tener buen gusto musical pueda elegir representaciones como la de Trackshittaz de este año. 

"Woki mit deim popo" es una macarrada irreverente, de mal gusto, provocativa y cantada en un dialecto austríaco que agradecemos no entender. Tanto la puesta en escena como la canción me producen la más absoluta repulsión. No, Austria, no. Mejor no participes.

17. MOLDAVIA - Pasha Parfeny - Lautar

Pasha Parfeny es el representante moldavo de este año y el encargado de continuar la tradición folk de su país en Eurovisión. 

"Lautar" es la propuesta ethno folk de poco gusto y calidad subjetiva que nos regala Moldavia este año. Sinceramente no han acertado en la elección y me recuerda a esos temas que interpretan los circos callejeron de la cabra que afortunadamente ya no vemos en nuestras ciudades. Para olvidar.

18. IRLANDA - Jedward - Waterline

El grupo de gemelos más famoso de Irlanda vuelve al ataque por segunda vez consecutiva y amenaza con poner a bailar a todo el estadio en Bakú como ya hicieran este año pasado en Düsseldorf. 

"Waterline" es el título de su canción de este año y aunque no tiene la fuerza de "Lipstick" es un tema pop que se deja escuchar si bien me recuerda a Alvin y las ardillas. Este dúo tiene un número de fans considerable por toda Europa y aún reconociendo su propuesta moderna no me acaba de convencer. Se prevee una puesta en escena con movimientos calcados a la del año pasado y unas cuantas bufonadas.

Continuamos con el análisis de los seis siguientes concursantes de esta primera semifinal y valorando qué posibilidades tienen de conseguir su pase a la final y qué opciones pueden tener en el día 26 de mayo en Bakú. 

  

7. SUIZA - Sinplus - Unbreakable

Suiza es un país que no nos aporta muchas alegrías eurovisivamente hablando. Una de las excepciones fue el año pasado pero no tuvieron demasiado éxito con la preciosa balada que llevaron así que este año se han decidido por otro estilo de la mano de los hermanos Ivan y Gabriel Broggini.

Bajo el nombre de Sinplus nos presentan "Unbreakable", un tema de pop-rock alternativo algo lineal y falto de energía, de la mano  de la discográfica I & G Productions. La canción es agradable pero no es original y nos da la sensación de haber escuchado algo parecido antes de la mano de grupos como Coldplay.

8. BÉLGICA - Iris - Would You?

De la mano de la jovencísima Iris, de tan sólo 17 años de edad, nos presenta Bélgica su propuesta para Bakú a modo de elección interna. Con muy poca experiencia de los escenarios se confía en la frescura de esta chica que saltó a la fama en 2010 gracias al socorrido concurso de talentos de turno. 

"Would You?" es una balada romántica muy lineal en la que sólo me quedo con la prometedora voz de su joven intérprete. Por lo demás, es una canción de esas que se olvida tan pronto se ha escuchado. Todos los años nos llega una propuesta estilo Disney algo sosa. Pues bien este año, Bélgica ha recogido el testigo de este tipo de composiciones. Tema totalmente prescindible y de lo más flojo en 2012.

9. FINLANDIA - Pernilla Karlsson - "När jag blundar"

Este año Finlandia apuesta por un tema cantado en sueco de la mano de Pernilla Karlsson quien hace actuaciones correctas pero que carecen de gancho escénico en muchas ocasiones. 

"När jag blundar" es una canción aceptable que abusa de estrofas repetidas hasta la saciedad. Si a eso le unimos que ella no tranmite demasiado el resultado será una canción aburrida y sin momentos de gloria. Tema prescincible y con poca pasión escénica. Lo más flojo que llega de los países nórdicos.

10. ISRAEL - Izabo - Time

Ran Shem-Tov, Jonathan Levy, Shiri Hadar y Nir Mastzur son los nombres de las personas que componen el grupo Izabo. Se trata de un grupo alternativo que hace música indie y que en 2003 lograron fama nacional con el trabajo "The Fun Makers". Igualmente consiguieron un considerable éxito en países como Reino Unido, Francia, Holanda, Bélgica, Luxemburgo y en Nueva York. 

"Time" se trata de una canción adictiva y envolvente que utiliza la magia del circo en su videoclip para ofrecernos una canción que experimenta con estilos rock psicodélico, disco, punk y aderezado además por música árabe, ideal para la reprentación de este año en Bakú. He escuchado mucho rechazo por este tema pero a mí me parece original y que reúne esa magia que sólo Israel sabe dar a sus canciones todos los años.

11. SAN MARINO - Valentina Monetta - The Social Network Song

Valentina Monetta es la intérprete que ha sido elegida internamente para representar al pequño país transalpino y que ya tiene su pequeña historia.

"The Social Network Song" es el definitivo título que tiene la propuesta sanmarinense para este año después de que presentara una versión el pasado 14 de marzo que fue descalificada por la UER por inclumplir la regla 1.2.2.g que dice que no se podrán presentar a concurso canciones con un mensaje comercial. La primera versión aludía directamente a Facebook en su letra y tuvo que ser cambiada.

Aunque ella transmite y mucho la canción no es un dechado de virtudes quedándose en un tema divertido aunque prescindible.

12. CHIPRE - Ivi Adamou - "La La Love"

Ivi Adamou es el nombre de la chica que nos quiere poner a bailar a todos este año en Eurovisión. De ascendencia chipriota-búlgara, Ivi nació en 1993 y con 16 años se presentó al X-Factor 2 donde finalizó en sexta posición.

"La La Love" es el título de esta canción de estilo dance-pop que promete una puesta en escena cuando menos espectacular ahora bien es poco serio que la presentación de la gala se haría en play-back y que nadie hayamos podido conseguir una actuación en directo de esta chica que ya tiene una considerable fama en la hermana Grecia. Muchos especulan con que veremos una colección continua de berreos que destrozará la canción.

Por cierto, el video está inspirado en la historia de Disney de "Blancanieves".
